New EEA report:Clean energy technologies in the European Union

Clean energy technologies are creating hundreds of thousands of jobs across the European Union, according to the EEA report ‘Clean energy technologies in the European Union’. However, persistent shortages of skilled workers risk slowing future growth, while at the same time the clean energy sector faces inclusion challenges, with women and young people underrepresented. The report examines employment across four clean energy technologies — wind, solar photovoltaic, heat pumps and batteries — together employing hundreds of thousands of workers across the EU.
