Climate change adaptation flagged in Europe`s Environment 2025 Report and faster access to Climate-ADAPT knowledge

Every four years, the EEA, supported by its partners from the European Information and Observation Network (Eionet), publishes a report on the state of Europe’s environment. Chapter 3.2 of this years‘ Europe`s Environment 2025 Report – among others – summarises the current state of the impacts and risks of climate change in Europe as well as future perspectives and progress towards climate policy objectives.

Thematic briefings such as 1.4 Water and climate impacts, 1.5 Ecosystems and climate impacts, 2.6 Climate risks to the economy, 2.8 Climate action financing, 2.9 Governance of climate change mitigation and adaptation provide a concise and comparable overview of the key trends visible in those climate-related topics, as well as enablers for a green transformation.

To enable faster access to knowledge on the complex Climate-ADAPT platform, the EEA has set up an AI-based search assistant to enable faster search results. Responses are generated based on authoritative data and sources from Climate-ADAPT, the European Climate and Health Observatory and the EU Mission on Adaptation Portal but may not be exhaustive. The search assistant can also be used in national languages.

Users are encouraged to provide feedback on the AI search assistant to help improve its quality over time. Comments and suggestions can be sent to: climate.adapt@eea.europa.eu.
